Zhu yuan and Burnice are unique in that they are normal people. Sad backstories are honestly kinda boring at this point. Miyabi is the biggest snoozer of them all. “My mom died so now I practice the blade and save people” BOOORING

I like their origins. It shows that not everyone has a terrible pass, which is something I really wish that games like this would start doing not everyone needs to be traumatized in some way. although there is suspicion, Burnice does have trauma.

Amusingly I saw a theory float around that Burnice has some type of PTSD cuz if you watch her MV some of the people dancing the others can't see/ Etherals are also dancing along with the deceased ppl she knew. idk if it's Tru tho. legitimately only Zhu Yan has a happy backstory,and maybe Ellen?
