I totally understand where you are coming from and would probably feel the same. On a separate note I grew up with this song and we would sing this to each other. Never once did I think racial. I lived the song but do understand you 💕

When my kids were little they would sing this to each other and their friends. But not the best idea for a teacher to sing it to any kid.

bad judgment but I dont think racist. We sang to each other at birthdays as kids. But as a teacher myself of young children I am aware that your words matter very much and should choose wisely.

oh fluck NO.. I understand its a song, ive sung it to my white kids but there isnt anything on this earth that would make me comfortable singing this to a melaninated child. she knew EXACTLY what she was doing. she chuckles at look like a monkey, I wanna fight her😡
