I had a doctor tell me once that I need to be willing to try treatments that are not covered by insurance. like how would I pay for that if my insurance won't pay for it. he said I should ask my parents to pay it!

Between insurance, meds that aren't covered and care that's not covered I'd guess I've paid around $10k in healthcare costs this year. And next year my healthcare will almost double because of the new budget bill taking away the healthcare tax credits 😭

The new executive orders are terrifying too. It’s flaring my issues from the stress but I can’t afford to go in to get help.

This is so true. I work part time and most of my money goes to out of pocket healthcare

Just got out of 2 day hospital stay for an infection & the sheer number of times I had to explain “I want to take that med/use that treatment/see that specialist but simply cannot afford it” 😑

Never gonna forget the $1000+ bloodwork a few years ago that my insurance company tried to get out of paying I had to send them a bunch of paperwork so they would pay it

They don't realize that even with insurance you still have to pay co pays. Like I can't restart pelvic floor therapy cause I owe 300 in co pays that I'm trying to pay off from a procedure

I'm paying $50 a month for medical bills and I'm getting billed more than that a month... I'll literally never pay it off

Im glad that I'm able to work BUT it is further exhausting me physically and mentally to be "on" for just the part-time I have. And this job market is making it impossible to find full-time flexible employment.

I have some privileges that have allowed me to seek more medical care than most of my disabled friends, and I still can’t do everything. I have to pick and choose or just let things go all the time. Like I didn’t have a choice in getting dental surgery, boom, $3k. And I have to have more of them. I’m staring down the barrel of so many surgeries and I’m terrified. I don’t even qualify for marketplace insurance in my state so insurance is a mortgage payment. People don’t get how expensive being disabled is.
