kwale county is one of the most ecologically and climatically diverse county in kenya. Kwale and kilifi. the lower plains are relatively flat and green because of the rainfall from the ocean. the county slowly rises until you get to the hilly areas. I.e shimba hills, tsimba hills, mrima hills. most of these places are forested and very green. after the hills you enter the nyika plateau. areas like kinango, samburu and taru fall on the plateau. they're receive minimum rainfall and are relatively flat.
