why are people acting as if light wasn't right to a certain extent? when humanity is driven by fear, they bind together in unity against that cause in order to justify the means and act civilized for once. this has been shown all throughout history, something that he became. when the identity of Kira came unto light, he started to actively drop the crime rates to nearly 70%, world wars stopping completely which leads to less famine and territorial aggression, government oppression and discrimination. L is not a good person, nor is he portrayed as one. he's just a man who was doing his job in the most unethical ways possible. in the end, light was the first victim of Kira and an ultimate pawn of entertainment for a shinigami, who views life as a gamble.
