Completely understand. However sometimes it’s the parents paying for the venue and the bride themselves are paying for other things such as the cake. Don’t assume peoples financial situations just because their budget isn’t as big for certain elements of the wedding.

A lot of people are full so will not really feel like eating cake, some would have already left and I’ve heard so much feedback from couples saying they regretted spending money on their cake cause they had to throw most of it away

Never thought about it like this. It’s not part of the status symbol - as long as it’s not “small” because “auntys sisters mums cat will chat behind our back” - butttt me and Khalid are not of the same culture and we still get haggled all day long. It’s really interesting to be honest.
