It can be expensive sometimes (good coat, good textiles). But I wore those clothes even for 8 years and still get compliments about them. But yes, agree with what you said - it's possible to found such things from sales or thrift shops ❤

It’s not a hoax. I’m a die hard quality 2nd hand love too. But Somebody else has to buy it first and then release it into the pre-loved market. The price would still be out of many people’s reach 2nd hand. Not that it isn’t possible, they’d need to buy less cheap items and then save up for a single more expensive item.

I bought 2 100% wool trench coats who are actually winter proof. The thriftshop had a jacketsale. So I paid €5,- for them together, no joke. Got them for years now, I swap them and steam them when needed and the condition is still perfect. They are from very expensive brands (over €500 new) and these are my absolute favorite finds🔥🔥

Of course it’s possible and of course you can’t find same quality in fast fashion but thrifting is so tiresome…I regularly visit my local thrift shop and still don’t find anything…maybe I’m just too picky and maybe I should just breach out a little bit but when I really need something I rather buy something mid range than travel across my city to maybe find something

I wish we had charity shops where I am from. Here we only really have thrift shops that sell mostly fast fashion brand for stupid prices. A tshirt is 10€, jeans are 20€ and a coat is 30-40€. For sometimg that is second hand Zara or H&M 😭😭😭 Finding anything good quality is very hard and the locations we can buy from on Vinted is restricted, so that is not easy either. So I mostly buy evening dresses there as those people don’t wear enough for it to be in bad condition.

The thing with sustainable fashion is sometimes its just about fabric composition & garment care. For instance say you buy a 100% cotton button down from H&M. Yes it's cheap & fast fashion. But it's a 100% natural fiber which, if properly washed & cared for, will last years 😊
