@cheyennekodiee: In Genesis 2:18, God declares it is not good for man to be alone and intends to make a "helpmate" (ezer) for him. This is not a position of inferiority, but rather one of powerful, vital, and urgent partnership, a "counterpart" or equal standing. The Hebrew word ezer signifies a strong, capable assistance, a complementary force that is also used in the Old Testament to describe God helping Israel. Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” ESV And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.
