I loved my hostas but we got voles or moles so bad my neighbors said my hostas brought them. He told me they ruined his yard. Do Hostas bring them? Myth?

I have had a hydrangea bush in the same spot for 20 years. It will never bloom. My mother-in-law bought it for me and I’m scared if I move it it’ll die. She passed away and it’s just sentimental but anyways, I’m planning to move. It is now a good time to move it and do I cut it all the way down

I quartered. mine used nothing on the transplant and they grew enormously. Very hardy plant.
