I love this album. I love the many interpolations of other famous songs into the album (Lenny Kravitz, the Pixies, Jackson 5, Lorde, George Michael, and others - including Taylor herself). I love the concept of just writing about her own life while doing the biggest tour she has ever personally done. I love that the vibes felt very 70s and 80s for most of it. I love the way she describes finding real love in her thirties. maybe it's just an album for basic white girls 🤷🏼♀

I’d rather listen to Hayley Williams’ new album. She’s not scared of not being liked like Taylor does

As a huge Swiftie who is horrified about what’s happening in the world - I wasn’t expecting her to say anything about it. She makes subtle references from time to time but she’s never been really political in her music and I didn’t expect that to change with this album. It’s a nice reprieve from all the dread.

I mean…she’s always been very “safe” and apolitical in her music.
