SO big when your kid ( as my 3 boys are also autistic level 2 ) is autistic. It’s huge when they can effectively communicate what they need/want. Love this !!

This makes my heart SO HAPPY. There’s a creator in the health/wellness space who has a son who’s autistic, and she said she tried AAC but he “uses it like a toy.” And I was so sad hearing that, because if we don’t let them “play” with it, they’ll never learn! Colby’s had his AAC device for years, and he’s showing how incredibly independent he can be! It’s just amazing. ❤️❤️❤

I’m so glad you encourage him to use at home -this is his voice! As a school based SLP I do not always have parents and staff on board to use and it is so frustrating … this is why we all have to be on the same team to give every child a voice!

Our son has an aac, but is currently favoring lower tech aac! He just recently started using a yes/no card to answer some of our questions!
