I think these videos make parents nervous bc as a mom who goes to these IEP meetings, they make me feel better. I haven’t had issues and I ask a lot of questions normally as I would hope other parents do to. Plus all IEP’s talk about data at least at our meeting

As an educator, I don’t see how they would have any issues with this. Data is a major part of the game. They can’t nay move with out being supported by data. So the question is can you show me the data. 📈 no one should reject that.

Shifting the power is a problematic stance. I love me some data and always have it ready, but suggesting there needs to be a power struggle isn’t it.

What if they say their data is measured with tests or an assessment done every 4-6 weeks? Not through notes when services are provided with push in support?

The kicker for me is always that WITHOUT data they can’t create an IEP but then they suddenly can’t seem to get it together to collect data? Weird flex, but okay.
