@harlecryptid: Hello everyone! Just to keep people in the loop because transparency is important to me- after Phantom's vet visit this morning, I'm slightly below where my November goal originally was for covering my own healthcare costs. For context- I had to take my ESA cat, Phantom, to the vet this morning for a mass on the outside corner of her mouth. The vet believes it's just felliculitis and gave her an antibiotic shot that's good for two weeks. I've also been instructed to hold a warm compress on the site 1-2 times a day (during which Phantom will be a spicy purrito). The vet seems certain about the treatment working, I'm trying to be too. I'm keeping everything crossed that the antibiotic helps; otherwise I'll be having to do even more fundraising to cover the cost of the next steps for her care (current estimate is another $300-400USD), on top of my own medical expenses. I unfortunately had to use most of what had been raised for my October expenses to cover the bill, which was very hard to mentally process, but overall it was needed. A couple lovely friends have sent funds to offset the expenses from today, so October is still thankfully covered. I am extremely grateful, and have cried many tears. My November goal is still the focus now, but I'll need to raise just a little bit more than originally intended due to how much the vet bill came out to be.
