He was right at the end of the pitch, and probably frustrated with the bag situation, tired, eager to finish, and made a fatal decision by skipping some checks before starting that unplanned rapell.

Take a rope access course if necessary before climbing anything. It doesn’t matter how experienced you are. In rope access you have a back up in case something like this happens. You also tie a stopper knot at the end of your rope in case you come down so it has a stopping point. This was all just poor rope management. My condolences to his family

No because imagine what that poor boy was thinking knowing he was falling to his death. My heart immediately goes to him and his family and the eye witness who witnessed him fall. I couldn’t even begin to imagine. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
