@knfecrimekay: He deeply cared for me and I felt it. He came in on days off, took me as a patient again when he felt I wasn’t getting the right care. I think of him often. Unfortunately he passed away a few years ago, but he will always be a hero to me and so many others. #doctors #dr #drtiktok #surgery #laparotomy
It's crazy cuz a laparotomy is such a tough surgery, yet doctors are out there doing c-sections for convenience and money, and it's so similar and debilitating.

Apology for a laparotomy? Did he remove an organ?

I had a laparotomy, 13 stitches! I had intestinal adherence because of a previous surgery. I know it is pretty invasive and intense, I hope you recover well!! Positive energies only ♡

I had a laparoscopy and the nurse in the maternity wing was such a doll. I asked him if they had any stuffed animals bc that’s a comfort for me (I’m 23). He found a little Minnie Mouse tsum tsum plushie. He checked in with me and my family every 15 minutes or so. I was the only woman in the wing at that moment. I think about him a lot. The doctor and nurses in the ER weren’t mean or rude but they were pretty cold. It was my first pregnancy.

When I lost my second tube to another ectopic rupturing, it was my 8th loss, my doctor was holding my hand when I woke up crying. She told me what happened and how sorry she was for this but that I was bleeding out and the baby was already so big but she saved my ovary at least.. She broke down. I called her years later when we finally did IVF and I was 8 months pregnant with my twins. She screamed when I told her the news. She was so happy for me. 🥺

In case anyone was wondering a laparotomy is an incredibly invasive open abdominal surgery. It’s normally done either to remove an organ or to treat extensive damage to the abdomen.

I went into surgery to have an ovarian cyst removed. I woke up to my doctor, crying, telling me how sorry she is that it wasn’t a cyst and is, in fact, terminal cancer.

My doctor held my hand as I sobbed in her office like a baby when she said she was willing to give me a hysterectomy at 23. I didn’t have to be in pain 24/7 anymore. They found endo all over my intestines too.

🇬🇧 Just to let you all know in the UK “Mr” is a title a lot of senior and specialized surgeons use. That was his title. I’m not disrespecting him.

During labor they lost my sons heart beat and when I woke up my doc was standing above me with tears in her eyes apologizing cause of the scar I’d have instead of going sideways she had to go up and down. That woman saved my sons life! I proudly wear my scar! Reminds me of the blessing my son is!
