But I didn’t want to throw out all of my real candles. So I decided to keep using them but with a simple switch. In the little cavity (hole) where the candle had burned down a little, I added a flameless tealight candle. Plus you can use this trick to put flameless tea candles in real pillar candles that come in more unique colors, sizes, and shapes that you can’t find in a flameless version. For example, maybe you have some vintage Christmas candles that you love and want to use, but don’t want to use up. This is a great option so that you can still enjoy them! For new candles, I sometimes light the candle, to soften the wax, blow it out, and then scoop out the center with a spoon. Other times, I skip lighting the candle and go straight to scooping it out with the spoon. It’s a basic hack, but it for so many possibilities! 💗
