The US is a white country the same way North African countries are Arab. Most middle eastern countries were colonized.

I think it's because Mohammed is a 'honorific' of sort. They usually follow the name Mohammed with another one they actually call the guy after. E.g. Mohammed Ali, you'd call him Ali if he was your friend. That's what I learned from another video.

and so her surname has changed. If her family still lived in Poland, it should be Królczyk (this letter ó is called in Polish as o with a dash or a closed u. because "ó" nowadays it makes the same sounds as "u") her family changed their surname to assimilate into American society because people couldn't pronounce/write their names correctly

poles (and eastern europeans) who immigrated to the u.s. were ethnically discriminated for not being “white enough” or WASP up until the civil rights movement. my dad had to americanize our polish surname because he was told having an ethnic surname would close doors for him. olivia doesn’t realize that if they got rid of every person who doesn’t have their skin color or religion, they’ll just go for who isn’t “white enough” like her next.

People who bring up the “Mohammed is the most popular name” argument doesn’t know how numbers work. If they are 100 names, 98 of them are different british name and 2 of them are “Mohammed” it means that Mohammed ist the most used name but 98% of all names are still british
