I was laid off in 2020 because of the covid shutdown. I ended up cashing out my 401k for a huge penalty, but i needed the money. the Unemployment office was so backed up that I found a new job 20 week later, before it was approved. my 20 weeks of Unemployment was finally approved 6 months after I filed my first claim, and thanks to the 600 a week stimulus, I earned 20x$975. but i still had a 20+ weeks of ZERO income. I only made it by diving into my retirement savings, with a heavy tax penalty.

ya i get that and that sucks balls. but the bigger picture is maybe the government job that is being held is a job America doesn't need. its not about what best for you but whats best for America. we're paying your salary the American tax payers and we all know about Davis Bacon Wages government employees get and the benefits that go with it. we need to do what best for America
