lol k I had mine out at 35 years old. It wasn’t easy, but this seems a lot worse than I had it. Everyone handles it differently I’m sure, but mine wasn’t near this

Had my tonsils removed several times as they just grew back. Sending you lots of prayers and hugs 🥰 🥰🥰🥰 your way for a speedy recovery ❤️🩹 soon.

Try to stick to soft easy to swollow food hun. Sharp bits of harder food will hurt a lot. Perhaps scrambled eggs? You poor thing 🥺 I hope you start to feel some relief soon

I had mine removed and I will never forget the pain, it was worse than having a baby. The only other time I’ve had a sore throat that bad was when I had covid, it reminded me of having my tonsils out. At night the pain was so bad I lay with a cloth under my mouth so I could just dribble onto the cloth because it was too painful to even shallow my own spit. I really sympathize with your pain. There’s a throat gel you can swallow that numbs your throat if you haven’t tried it, I’ll show you a photo

Girl you have just put every one off getting their tonsils out🤣 as an adult I’ve had mine done twice (some grew back) it was the absolute worst but you NEED to write down every time you take Panadol and neurophen and take it as soon as the specified time that you can take it again.. I can’t stress this enough it’s a life saver! Panadol is under rated! And you should alternate between the two because if the Panadol isn’t working the neurophen kicks in and Go back to ED if you are not coping

im not sure i believe this clubbing comment. my brother had his out at 18 and hes was a strong kid at the time. and any chance of bleeding you are required to seek medical attention

Ice blocks, protein yoghurts or drinks, diflam throat spray! Honestly pasta! You have probably another week of this to go, so try keep drinking! Don’t skip a dose of meds. I ended up in ICU after a bleed of getting mine removed! Light is at the end of the tunnel 6 days down not many to go!

I had mine out at 30 and I had to look after 2 small children at the same time, it’s the worst thing iv ever been through including having 2 babies. Do you get the referred ear pain? That was so bad and being so hungry and not being able to eat.

worst freaking pain of my life! I feel so bad for you! but you got this girlfriend! stay ontop of the meds! set a timer. it feels like absolute death but its so worth it once you are all healed up! ❤

Babe day 6 was so bad for me too 😭 at this point it’s so bad because it’s about to get so much better though, keep that in mind. In about 2-3 days you will start to see a light at the end of the tunnel 💖💖 im on day 11 and so so much better.

Anyone telling her to eat soft food- when my son had his out they suggest crunchy heard foods to help lift scabbing they actually don’t want the scabbing to build up and create scar tissue

I’ve had 2 babies of my own plus was a surrogate & have had so many huge surgeries but my tonsillectomy at 16 was the worst pain & experince ever!! My ex husband had his done at 30 & he was in agony too! My daughter had it done at 3 who is 17 now & im so so glad she can’t remember it. I’m feeling so so much for you! Hang in there darl, it will get better! It’s so emotional too!
