Bare metal isn't that scary. Just reinstall windows if you don't like it. Dual booting (in my experience) is more hazardous than committing to Linux.

I moved from Linux to windows just for photoshop and instantly regretted it. Now I’m back on Arch with a Mac for photoshop. It’s clear I will do anything to avoid windows 😆

Dual booting is still running on bare metal. There's still nothing running between linux and your hardware when you boot into linux.

Bare metal. Don't have windows anymore. The way I learned Linux was to remove my windows drive and install it separately on another drive. That way I couldn't run away to windows at the first roadblock or hurdle. Been there since (6 years) and haven't looked back.

Bare metal 100%. 1. saves some older or second hand laptops from becoming e-waste when they still have life in them. 2. if you keep the flash drive with the iso on it, if (or when) you make a mistake you can just do a new fresh install and try again. 3. distro hopping is more fun comparing them side by side
