People really need to understand the difference between gender and sexuality — they’re not the same thing, and that’s where so many of these ignorant comments come from. Gender is about who you are, and sexuality is about who you’re attracted to. Shaye being trans doesn’t automatically mean she’s attracted to men, and it definitely doesn’t erase her love for Amanda. It’s wild how some people still can’t wrap their heads around that. Love is love, and their relationship proves that understanding and connection go way deeper than labels.
