Childcare is a huge thing. I ended up joining burnboot camp because it was the only option for childcare that I could find besides LA fitness.

A lot of fitness studios are truly not affordable. Yes you can work out without a membership somewhere but if you want people to buy a membership then it needs to be affordable. It’s lacking in accessibility for all types of people

It’s too expensive & I understand the aesthetic but unfortunately for some it’s unattainable at higher pricing. Also childcare & time slots. I feel that time slots are curated for the people who mostly work from home or don’t have kids which again is understandable but some factors to consider

WE NEED A GYM WHERE WE CAN BRING THE LITTLE ONES! I can’t use a daycare. I’d love a place I could workout and have my child next to me.

Pricing & childcare. Ombaby bliss was the only Pilates studio I found that was baby/toddler friendly & incorporated them into workouts or had an environment that was safe for them to roam around in

I think cost is a big one for a lot of people. Also, the instructors really making people feel welcomed and remembering them as what keeps people coming back. I take Pilates three times a week with the same instructor and if she has days off, I will skip working out there that day because I go specifically for her. She is a great instructor but also she remembers everything we talk about and notices if I miss a class or week.

I know this is hard to do with limited budget, but so many people work from home and there’s such a lack of mid afternoon classes. Like if I have a free spot on my cal at 1pm, very few options! But I’m trying to go before traffic hits.

SD native as well. It’s usually a mix of pricing and just general vibe. Every studio parrots being “inclusive” which I’m sure is the true aim, but then there’s very little diversity in the clientele which intimidates me (as a non white passing latina who doesn’t have “matching sets” and is very introverted). My pet peeve is when an instructor says to come talk to them after the class if you have any questions but then are often immediately talking to their regulars/friends immediately when the class ends, leaving little opportunity to actually talk to them without feeling like you’re interrupting something personal

I would loveeee a Pilates studio that also had a weight room - doesn’t even need to be anything crazy but just the basics / a few cardio machines and that was women only !! I think so many girlies that love Pilates/lagree don’t do it as their only form of work out which makes it hard to justify a membership and then most will just do class pass + gym

I’m in north county and have been trying to find a good workout environment. My hesitations are: 1. I’m back to being a beginner after having a baby/gaining weight and a lot of regulars/classes seem to be geared towards a place I’m not at 2. Childcare for kids still in diapers 3. Pricing

Would love like a social hour after working out to make friends!!! It’s so much more motivating when you have a workout buddy to go with

Hi! I live in Carlsbad and you just came across my fyp. I watched your video all the way through and I didn’t hear you mention your business name. If I were you, I would capitalize on all my social media platforms and introduce myself by name and give a shoutout to my business. Also, your baby is sooo cute! 🥰

North County Mama here! I have to workout at 5:30am before my baby wakes up but I would say places with childcare are very limited! I know Burn Boot Camp has it but it’s too far for me to go without my baby that early and classes are hard to commit to. I wish there was just a drop in gym that was clean and fun with childcare, I would go.

I love that you are taking the time to ask people for their opinions. my number one is time I work 8:30-5pm traffic is a nightmare so it's an hour each way from Chula Vista. I just had a baby 3 months ago so childcare would be next. 3. cost pilates and yoga in general are so expensive. there are also so many options for studios these days it's overwhelming to choose
