I did my nursing clinicals there ! Me and two other students were the only ones that loved it! When you first walk in it’s beautiful but the rest of the place was kinda scary ! It’s closed now - they need to have tours there ! It’s awsome!

my grandparents and great grandparents worked there. my mom grew up in a little house on the grounds thats no longer there. wish I could get inside 🥺

Yes, but mostly it was the kids at school asking other kids if they came from Boliver, they belonged in Boliver or told them that their whole family had to be in Boliver. Everyone knew what it meant. 😅

I worked for Jackson Madison County Hoslital for their psych center in 90-92. All we had to say to a patient is if we couldn’t handle them we could transfer to Boliver and we usually got a new attitude.
