Nier automata is in contention for the best game ever written, its story and characters are riddled with philosophy that isn’t just surface level, it’s world building is fantastic and lore is arguably the best in gaming history. i have to ask what do you value in a story game?? or like what made you just not care? nier had such a heavy weight with every plot event and player decision that it’s insane to think that it came out of a full budget AAA game from a failing studio.

I’m almost done marathoning the games for the first time and, Idk I felt like MG2 was a significant better experience than MG1 was when I went through em, though idk if I’m gonna back to those on a chronological playthrough though.
