It ain’t that deep, as man I like to play as male characters to immerse myself with the game, playing a female character as man is the equivalent of reading a shoujo manga, it feels weird but if the girl is pretty enough then at least you have a reason to keep going (shout out to akatsuki no yona), other than that I could play a game with fmc if the story is genuinely that much interesting (life is strange) but if it’s just an action open world souls like then… I’ll stick with other options
