My husband is a retired commander. He now works for the DOD because military retirement does not pay a living wage. He did ROTC for five years, that doesn’t count as years served for service. He was gone for more than half of his service, away from his family. Now we won’t receive a check on the 10th. Tricare has increased, after we were told we would get lifetime free healthcare. Not true. We pay a lot for co-pays, we pay a lot for prescriptions. Now we’re being charged monthly.

People are not understanding that when insurance companies lose ACA subsidy funds and people are forced to cancel their policies on top of that everyone else’s premiums will shoot up. They will make up the difference so as not to lose profits. This is a critical issue on all fronts.
