The grandmother of a man accused of murdering Florida rapper Charles
The grandmother of a man accused of murdering Florida rapper Charles "Julio Foolio" Jones testified in Alicia Andrews' trial today (Thursday, October 23). She was not shown on camera, and her last name was redacted from the video stream. First name Lorna, the woman testified about her grandson Sean Gaithwright visiting her home on June 23, 2024, which is the day Foolio was murdered. Sean arrived in a black car, which he later switched to a tan SUV after Lorna's permission. She observed him moving items, including a professional camera, from the car to the SUV. Lorna allowed Tampa police to view her surveillance footage on June 26, but she later asked them to leave after they downloaded the footage without her consent. She also contacted her daughter during the police visit, scared and in need of legal advice. Andrews' lawyer Jeremy McLymont questioned her in cross-exam. Andrews wasn't present when Foolio was shot to death, but prosecutors say she helped plan the murder and is equally culpable as Gaithright and the three other defendants, Isaiah Chance Jr., Davion Murphy and Rashad Murphy, though they aren’t seeking the death penalty against her like they are against him. #law #crime #legal #court #news
