It’s kinda already based off of TSHL anyways. Somewhere along the way, shadow falls for Amy, but never acts on it. I see him recognizing that Amy’s love doesn’t belong to him, and so, he backs off, preferring to restrain his emotions and suffering silently than potentially hurting someone he deeply cares about. Especially if he sees something real forming between sonic and Amy. If any type of Shadamy content were to happen in this franchise, I’d figured it would be unrequited. Amy cares about him as a friend, but her loyalty and affections resides with Sonic.
