I'm pretty sure it's easier to think of the -te form as a way to connect verbs to other things especially other verbs, like for example tabete kudasai (eat and please=eat please), tabete miru(eat and see=try eating(to SEE if you like it), tabete kara(eat+from=after eating. from as from then on, so in other words after) etc etc 😛🙏 you just gotta think about it in a way that makes sense to you 🤤

The most basic use is for connecting two or more sentences where the things are happening linear (after each other). You put the verbs in て form except the last one to mark the tense. For example 7時ごろ起きた、朝ご飯を食べました。I hope this helps someone. 😇

I think the hardest one for me is the ていく and てくる. maybe example sentences would help? Is it like, "I will go/come do this (verb)" or "I will do this (verb) and then go/come"
