@nihongodekita: Te-form Multiverse ๐๐ซ It really opens up a whole new horizon for your Japanese expressions! (And I'm sorry but there is actually more than what's introduced in the video but... ๐ ) Here's the list of all the sentence patterns introduced: ใใฆ (ใใ ใใ): "Please do" ใใฆใใใ: "Itโs okay to / You may / Can I...?" ใใฆใฏใใใชใ: "You canโt / Must not" ใใฆใฟใ: "Try doing something" ใใฆใใ: "After doing something" ใใฆใใพใ: "โ To finish completely โก To regret/unintentional" ใใฆใใ: "Do something in advance / for preparation" ใใฆใใ: "Something has been done and remains that way" ใใฆใใ: "Do something and go / continue into the future" ใใฆใใ: "Do something and come / action approaching speaker" ใใฆใใ: Ongoing action / Resulting state / Habitual actions ใใฆใใใ: "Do something for someone" ใใฆใใใ: "Someone does something for me/us" ใใฆใใใ: "Receive a kind action from someone" ใใฆใปใใ: "I want someone to do something" For each sentence pattern, there's specific rules like what particles to use, what type of verb works, and what kind of situation it's used, etc. #japanese #Nihongo #ๆฅๆฌ่ช #JLPT #nihongodekita
I'm pretty sure it's easier to think of the -te form as a way to connect verbs to other things especially other verbs, like for example tabete kudasai (eat and please=eat please), tabete miru(eat and see=try eating(to SEE if you like it), tabete kara(eat+from=after eating. from as from then on, so in other words after) etc etc ๐๐
you just gotta think about it in a way that makes sense to you ๐คค

Andi :
The most basic use is for connecting two or more sentences where the things are happening linear (after each other). You put the verbs in ใฆ form except the last one to mark the tense. For example 7ๆใใ่ตทใใใๆใ้ฃฏใ้ฃในใพใใใI hope this helps someone. ๐

I think the hardest one for me is the ใฆใใ and ใฆใใ. maybe example sentences would help? Is it like, "I will go/come do this (verb)" or "I will do this (verb) and then go/come"
