if we rewind just 5 short years into covid. in my local community the churches closed their doors. the mosques however made food and handed it out to the needy and we stood and clapped on a Thursday for our nhs and carers (an entire sector held up by our oversees neighbours). I know who I woukd rather live next door too. and as for the people arriving on boats, I for one would make the same choice if my home was being destroyed - and yes. id keep going until I found a country i could communicate in. the inequality in our society is not caused by the groups being targeted
