Macchiato means “marked” or “stained” so the milk is ‘stained’ by the espresso so the shots sit ontop rather than mixed in with the milk 💗💞

Macchiato is when we put the coffee shots on top instead of the bottom. For the hot version, we also steam the milk for a bit longer than the latte
