The whole city should still have an over-arching spell diagram made by mistake once all the neighborhoods are in place, i.e. an unplanned interaction of the magical lines/streets on a greater scale.

I was thinking what about a fort on the edge of nation with a narrow mountain pass to cross over. But the Fort is designed with the bless spell so all defended are blessed so long as it stands giving them 1d4 on each roll over the attackers who wish to invade the nation behind it.

and what if randomly in nature some of those patterns appear out of nowhere ? would some plants evolve to grow Roots with certain spells to adapt better ? if a rock formation grows in the shape of a spell what could happen ??

Im currently struggling with making my mines it's a little hard to explain but maybe you could help. okay so I have 4 or so mountains that are connected that are completely hollowed out, but one of the 8 elder dwarfs that live in it started to build support beems so the mountains didn't collapse, now this is easy to tell my players. but the hard part is how do I explain a ancient forge with blue lava that comes from primordial sources under the mountains? its hard to figure out how to make it look and explain. so if you could help that be nice, and if you cant that's also fine

Here me out your Enchanted district city. but then the major roads are in the shape of a large spell like your hold monster. Plot twist the Enchanted distincts are in the shape of teleportation. once a day they teleport and reshape the city. and change the overall greater spell. or something along those lines. and maybe the foundation of the Distincts are different materials and they resonate with magic differently giving each distinct they own additional smaller effects. my thought process if I were a wizard I want efficiency. so auto magic and random effect with human test subject that don't know. they think it's just cool. but I designed the largest lab without other realizing till things start floating.
