If this was any other progressive company, this would be a red flag. Can't work for home because the boss thinks they are faking it, yet billion dollar companies let you remote work. You're not more committed just because you work longer hours than what you are paid for, unless you're paying overtime. This is why American work culture sucks, let's not even get started on the holiday days and maternity pay
