Mama of 4 kiddos & 3 of my kids are special needs. We have tried food pantries & other resources and have had no luck. My fridge & cupboards are empty and it’s the worst feeling in the world. I’m working as many hours as I can, on top of taking care of my parents, niece and my babies. I’ve sold most of my belongings & clothes just to put food on the table. I had to borrow money from my 401k to get caught up on rent, electric, gas & groceries, but it can take up to 7 days to hit my account. It can’t come fast enough as it breaks my heart hearing my kids crying that there still hungry😭 I wish I can go live but I don’t ever have time. I don’t even have time to take a minute to breath 🥺 (just venting as I don’t have anyone to talk too & this felt like a safe place to do so)!

Because their parents are in middle class like myself and they make just barely over the limit and don’t qualify for food stamps. Then food is outrageous so what food they can buy is very little. In my county they have 2 food banks that you can go to once a month and one them is income based but the garbage they give isn’t worth getting. Not meaning it sound rude and ungrateful but when they give a few cans of vegetarian beans, a bag of Lima beans, Chex cereal but no sugar, macaroni with canned pasta sauce, maybe. Frozen bag of chili and a few cans of green beans. Obviously bigger families gets more but it’s just more of what I mentioned. And the other food bank is just a bunch of half rotted vegetables.

It’s crazy things so expensive and they took my foodstamps bc I “make to much” but I’m over here struggling to even pay bills . It’s crazy how expensive things are getting!

Some ideas Set up Community Boards were people can go in your area to get help Some areas have community fridges and food sharing apps Some areas have pay it forward groups and people post food boxs and stuff Organize a Food Drive

It’s so hard this economy is tough. I cannot stand to see someone hungry especially a child. I will give when I don’t don’t even have it to give bc I know what it feels like to be hungry. I always said when I was able I would always extend a hand to help pull someone else up.
