Here’s why 👇🏻 Part 2: 🇲🇾 Malaysia: 10/10 One of the most affordable countries I’ve visited! You can find accommodation for $5-10/night in most places, transportation is relatively cheap, and street food is usually $1-3/meal. 🇦🇱 Albania: 8.5/10 Albania can be super affordable if you visit outside of peak season. There are a lot of cheap apartments and public transportation is affordable. However, prices get higher in summer and in a lot of places there are not many hostel options in all destinations so it will be more expensive for solo travelers who might need to book an entire apartment/room. 🇺🇸 USA: 1.5/10 I’ve spent a lot of time in the US and it’s the most expensive country I’ve visited. Transportation around the country is very expensive, even relatively short train and bus journeys can be dozens of $ or even $100+ unless you book very early. Domestic flights are also often expensive. Many cities don’t have any hostels and the ones that do are usually $50+/night even for dorms in very low quality hostels. In most destinations your only option will be a hotel and renting a car to get around. Food at both restaurants and grocery stores is also more expensive than in most other countries. 🇰🇷 South Korea: 8.5/10 I think South Korea offers amazing value for money! I visited in summer and still found some of the most affordable private hostel rooms I’ve ever stayed for $10-20/night in popular destinations like Seoul, Jeju, and Busan. Food is relatively affordable. Transportation between cities varies, the fastest train are pricey but domestic flights are very affordable. 🇫🇮 Finland: 3/10 Finland is my home country and it’s definitely one of the most expensive countries I’ve spent time in. Public transportation, especially trains and buses between cities, are also pretty expensive. There are not a lot of hostel options even in cities so it’s not very easy to find affordable accommodation. That being said, there are free things to do in most destinations and you can find some relatively pretty food at grocery stores as well as lunch deals at restaurants. Disclaimer: These ratings are just based on my own experiences and are not the objective truth :)
