I always view her relationship with her hair and braiding as so special because it seems to be one of the few things she genuinely connects with her mother on and she even allows her mother to help her through her hair when she doesn’t accept it in other parts of her life. Her two recognizable qualities, the thing audiences grasp on to when watching the games and starting the rebellion are her bow and arrow (burdock) and her braided hair (Astrid)

Also, I’m not saying that I necessarily am calling out anyone in specific terms but when I see people talk about peeta being useless or lazy I truly do think that they only watch the movies and that they don’t read the books because a lot of the impact in the books doesn’t necessarily come through in the movies like I can’t remember exactly right now, but I’m pretty sure they don’t necessarily connect the fact that peeta’s family is just entirely gone and it’s probably very hard for him as someone who wasn’t in the best of terms with them. Not to mention him losing his leg like there was so much stuff that caused him to be disabled and a lot slower than expected, and I do think there was more nuance than him just being useless.

in the movies they don't even show the hairy legs they are waxing it's one of my pet peeves like when a shaving commercial shows a completely hairless armpit the razor "shaves"
