how does banding work with the new foundation rules that the attacking player assigns damage so that defending players can't assign blocking order anymore would it be that the attacking player assigns bloking oder but defender can assign what damage is delt?

easy fix, any damage over that needed to do lethal damage to all blockers is automatically applied to the controlling player.

what if an attacker has both double strike and trample? if the 1/1 dies in the first strike step, can you still have it assign the normal strike damage to the dead creature even though it would normally just trample over?

I think people think banding is really complicated because it's very wordy in the rules text and reminder text on cards, because it kind of has to be to work properly in the game. but it's pretty understandable when someone's explaining it to you

What happens when you have banding and trample on one card like War elephant? Can you assign one DMG to one creature and the other DMG directly to the player?

I'm thinking of the card that gives all your creators banding I believe it's a land. but your opponents attack with a flyer and you only have one flyer that you don't want to loose, can you assign combat damage to one of your none flying creatures?

It’s so funny the other day I just learn what double strike really does I thought it only does like double damage but I guess it like a first strike and normal attack combined and help with attacking blockers

They changed banding in the rules with the example in the rule book that you'd get in the starter decks.
