@prettyonlowbattery: Update: I have a spinal leak and need a blood patch but nothing is easy with me. Remember that pesky spinal cord stimulator I have…well…normally a neurosurgeon would do the blood patch and would go in “blind” and go by feel with landmarks in/on the body. They can’t do that with me because there is too great a risk of hitting the spinal cord stimulator leads. My scs leads sit at L2-L3 and they go in at L3-L4. So because of all of that, I have to have the blood patch done under fluoroscopy (basically an xray guided injection) but neurosurgeons/neurologists are not trained to do them under fluoroscopy. So we have to call an interventional radiologist who does procedures under fluoroscopy, but they don’t do blood patches…so they have to find an interventional radiologist who is comfortable enough to do the blood patch on me. That sounds sketchy as heck and I’m nervous but I need the blood patch to get rid of this headache. It’s brutal and miserable. I’m ready to be home and in my own bed.
