@teamhootpolevault: @glenncolivas_oly sent me this today after my post about how the top arm is more important than the bottom arm. I like to think of the top arm as the engine and the bottom arm as a steering wheel. I dont know about you, but if I had to choose an engine over a steering wheel its an engine every time. But man, when you can get both of them working together! Thats where the magic is! #Teamhoot #polevault

yes! i used to have a horrendous bottom arm but i was able to vault 10’ because i could move the pole with my top arm pretty well

The bottom hand grip is used for stabilizing the pole, not for bending it. All poles are made to bend from pressure from the top grip.
