@cbsmiami: Hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans living in the U.S. under Temporary Protected Status (TPS) now find themselves in limbo following a new U.S. Supreme Court ruling authorizing the Trump administration to resume deportations while a lower court reviews the case. Many of these individuals reside in South Florida, including Maximiliano Hernández and his family, who say they are compliant, working and fearful of being uprooted from the life they’ve built. Immigration advocates warn that after a 60‑day grace period ends on Nov. 9, about 605,000 of Venezuelans in the U.S. could face detention and deportation if they lose protections. Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar has urged reconsideration of enforcing mass deportations, pointing to the political instability in Venezuela and the impact on families rooted in the U.S.
