that is true and i agree but. his arc is about him realizing that he has control over his own destiny, and that because he's done bad things in the past does not mean he needs to keep doing bad things. he believe that because he made mistakes in the past he cannot grow nore except them hence the shame that made him a demon but over the story and with rumi's help he realizes that even if he had made mistakes in the past that doesn't mean that he has to keep making them, ultimately ending with his sacrifice. while I do agree he's ultimately a flawed character and has done unforgivable things the point of the story is to show that no matter what mistakes or how much shame you hold you can still make the right decision to help others now. I would also like that that he felt he was helpless in that matter he's been told all of his 400 years of life as a demon that he cannot escape his shame he is a result of his shame and all he can do is do his lords bidding. just a restate I completely agree with his point in the video and i understand why people would/ do feel no sympathy for his character but i believe that through his righteous action at the end of the story he does show growth and regrets what hes done to the souls that he sent to be consumed.
