QUEST CAN HANDLE MORE. i run smooth 144 on my quest 2 in a heavily populated world, every avatar shown, etc etc, and i run that same lobby at 30 fps on my pc 😭

Unity does not control this, its set by VRChat. I read the code for the SDK and it checks the avatar size before upload. But yes, Unity is a hell hole that not many people are prepared for.

as someone who has messed with making avatars quest the 10mb limit is stupid quest headsets mainly 2 an 3 can handle more for mobile avatars it straight up dumb has to fall into fallback limits basically very low quality
