From someone that wanted to *not* live and studies neuroscience, u have to rewire your neural pathways. Your brain is like a train, it goes down the path it knows. Redirect and create positive pathways in your brain. When u feel the negative thought, stop, FORCE yourself to say something positive about yourself even if u dont fully mean it. Be consistent, you will feel better. 💗💗

Yes AND. Keep going. Write down that that was hurtful. Ponder why you think hurtful things about yourself. Ponder what part of you is thinking that and does it align with your values? Etc etc etc. KEEP GOING! ❤️

I’ve started this new thing where every time I journal, I first start with grounding. Like I’ll write “it is 10:04am, it’s slightly windy outside and 63 degrees…” I’ll describe where I’m at, and what my physical feelings are before I dive into my emotions. It’s made my journal entries a lot more legible and less chaotically depressed lol and I’m more honest about what’s going on in my life instead of just venting all my feelings and ruminating. It’s only been 3 weeks so idk if it’s exactly life changing yet, but I can really tell a difference in my mental clarity after each entry. Plus it’s made starting my journal entries a lot easier because I don’t have to think of what I want to write, I just start writing.

Truly what helped me is waking up and before doing anything forcing myself to find 3 things I’m grateful for and write them down even when I was rock bottom. Was hard to find those 3 things at first now when I start to have negative thoughts I almost automatically look for things to be grateful for
