Destiny 2 went downhill when most content you need a group of people. I'm someone who played destiny 1 and enjoyed it because most of the DLC could be done solo. Destiny 2 went a different route. Started locking story progress behind coop missions. Surprised the game didn't die quicker.

Destiny 2’s fate was sealed when they chose to “vault” the original game, and majority of expansion passes, that we all paid for. Rather than just make Destiny 3. 🤷🏼♂️What was left was unorganized stories here and there, that really had no linear path.

The reason I quit was because it felt like there was no longer a purpose/place in the story for the guardian. I mean we literally beat the witness why are we still fighting? It feels so pointless.

Half the stuff they have doesn’t make sense and the amount of times I’ve tried to get people into it they’ve stop cause it’s too confusing is ridiculous. It’s not new player friendly and vaulting the campaign and a lot of season 1 content was the biggest killer. Genuinely watched my goat become washed in real time.

It’s sad to see such a steep decline for Destiny 2. Hopefully, the upcoming Renegades expansion can reignite interest and bring players back.
