Is football on your weekend schedule? Well, despite the fact that the Bears are again not in the running, Mr Babs and I will be watching our share of football this weekend. This garbage bread is a hit for the playoffs or any day. It is like a giant bacon cheeseburger stuffed in bread. A meal for sure. The special sauce really is so special and you can’t skip making that part. Best of luck to all your favorite teams! XO Babs INGREDIENTS: 1/2 pound chopped bacon 1 cup chopped onion 1 pound lean ground beef 1 tbsp steak seasoning 1 (13.8 ounce) pizza dough (you can use Pillsbury in the roll) 1 ½ cups grated cheddar jack cheese 1 cups grated cheddar cheese INSTRUCTIONS: Preheat the oven to 425°. In a large skillet over medium-low heat cook bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon from the pan, set aside and drain most of the grease. In the same skillet on medium high heat, add the onions and ground beef and cook until onions are soft and the meat is cooked through. Drain excess grease from the pan. Over medium low heat, add the bacon back into the pan and season with the steak seasoning. Add in the cheddar jack cheese and stir continuously cook until the cheese is melted. Remove the pan from the heat. Roll the pizza dough out onto the prepared baking sheet. The dough should be approximately a 15×10 rectangle. Spread the cheese and meat mixture evenly on top, leaving an inch at the edges. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese. Roll up the pizza dough, starting with the long sides and pinch the crust together to seal. Bake seam side down for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow the bread to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with special sauce. “Special Sauce” INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 tbsp pickle relish 1 tbsp finely minced onion 2 tbsp ketchup 2 tsp yellow mustard 1 tsp white vinegar 1/2 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp onion powder INSTRUCTIONS In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and stir until well mixed. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Will keep in the fridge for two weeks. #EasyRecipe #football #fingerfood
