this also happened to me ! ordered a protein matcha “no h20-almond” it confused me and idk why that’s an option in the app. if you’re subbing almond milk instead of the protein milk, they just overpaid for a regular matcha …

I work at a target Starbucks and we had a lady order Starbucks through drive up when she picked up her order and the system let her order two protein lattes sub almond milk. So we made them how it said to make them and just had to drive up person let her know that because she subbed out the milk there actually wasn’t any protein powder in there so they could cancel them if they wanted to.

This is a message for customers. Protein currently is ONLY available for dairy drinks. Probably will continue to be because the protein is whey based. You probably should just steer away from hot protein drinks because even if they are made correctly, it could curdle. Stick with the cold drinks and the cold foam.

they patched this in the app, when it says “no H20-*alt milk*” it means they want to substitute the protein milk for that milk, which is stupid bc ppl were paying for protein lattes thinking they were still gonna get protein if it had oatmilk, so they recently patched it in the app that you can’t change the milk at all
