for you guys who don't understand it's based on the story of Persephone and Hades of Greek mythology so basically one day Persephone was in a field picking flowers when Hades saw her and kidnapped her and then he gave her pomegranic seeds she ate six but that's when Hermes and demetri persephone's mom found her so basically that's how winter and summer works because well Persephone was in the Underworld with Hades Dimitri fell into a depression and stopped harvesting the Earth because she's the goddess of an earth I think and so when she found Persephone and took her back the Earth was nourished again so now Persephone spends half the year in the Underworld with Hades Dimitri falls into a depression and that's why winter exists and when Persephone goes back to her mother that's when people have summer
