im not a swifitie, but yes, folklore was a good album and I even enjoyed Midnights which had some really great lyrics and songs too, but the issue with this album is the social context she is releasing this new album and deeming it her best work ever along with the layers of microagressive lyrics in her songs that some swifties are in denial of. it's extremely frustrating to see some swifties talk about how this album is good, knowing the songs have tradwife and racist undertones. I think those people who like this album really need to reflect on the values they have and how that actually reflects in where they put their money and how they excuse an artist's trivial choices and actions and turn a blind eye all because theyre a fan

Do you like evermore? I feel that Evermore took it a step a bit further, I think that if she learned how to combine the pop feel with very romantic, poetic type writing she could create a monster of an album for the 13th.

Can I say something controversial and really goes into proving that’s it not her music it’s people’s vision. People love folklore so much because it has nothing to do with the brand of Taylor swift. Like obviously they are but at the same time they aren’t most of the songs are more of a generic feel like it’s an album where you don’t have to listen or know Taylor swift to listen to the album
