A court decision in Switzerland now puts the entire handpan community at risk. If this ruling stands, the basic shapes and features that every handpan is built from could become copyrighted - meaning countless instruments we love today could suddenly be considered “illegal.” This is not just a fight about metal and design. This is about music that has touched millions, about healing, creativity and the freedom to express ourselves through sound. I „grew up“ with these instruments. My life, my work, my purpose - everything has been shaped by the handpan. And I know many of you feel the same. That’s why the global community is coming together right now.
