I’m a paramedic and here to explain that the reason that we are trained not to ever run on a high acuity scene is because it produces too much adrenaline in our system and it clouds our judgment and clouds our critical thinking skills. We are taught to literally walk and regulate our breathing on our way in and out of a call so that we can maintain our critical thinking to the peak of its ability.
